This Washington Post editorial calling for closing the racial wealth gap.
This piece in New York Magazine gives a thoughtful analysis of Ibram Kendi’s interview with Ezra Klein from a few weeks ago. The piece mentions research from Matt Bruenig that highlights how the racial wealth gap is mostly driven by wealthy Black and white households — something that I think is often missing from these conversations.
As reported in the Seattle Times, former Attorney General under Barack Obama, Eric Holder, and his law firm concluded its investigation into systemic racism at Seattle Children’s hospital shared the recommendations from the report but not the findings. The recommendations, which are pretty vague and high-level in my opinion, can be found here.
The Wall Street Journal covers a new report out by the University of Wisconsin and the Federal Reserve which found that wealth inequality is not as stark when you factor in Social Security and pension guarantees.
